Hectic but satisfying week

Long time never post liao... due to the fact that my com kana trojan then busy with reports, presentation and quiz.

I had a hectic week but very satisfying because

1. Ms Wong, my IT in retail banking lecture commented that my groups(consist of Yana, Lynn & me) was the best so far. She said we gave her a very good report with all the importants and relevant points in. That really pays off the effort that we spend doing on the report. Like to thanks my group mate for their effort too and sorry if I asked you guys too much to change or add on to the reports.
2. Yesh... get thru NE presentation. It was a super fast presentation by my team(consist of Harmon, Yana, Wai Chong, Fuqiang & of cos me). haha.. cos we are presenting in front of all NE student at the lecture hall. Thanks Harmon for doing the whole presentation slides.
3. Also got thru com skill presentation.. haha.. yes I got 3 presentations this week. Com skill also not so bad. Thanks to all my team mates.
4. Got my eCom quiz result today. Very happy with it, hope to maintain it so that I can get my A, haha...
5. The best part is I solve my mobile application development practical test question. Now all gear up for that on next friday. I solve this morning. I was trying out last night but never get it work so I was thinking of the solution when I go to sleep, thought of one solution b4 I closed my eyes so the first thing I do when I wake up, I try out the solutions and was so happy it worked that I nearly scream at 7am. Haha.. but I saw my hubby and son sleeping so I stood up go to a corner and jumping up and down with my hands covering my mouth. haha, call me crazy but yes I done it!

Initially I thought I got a great day cos end of presentation, solve pract test and got good result for eCom but I was so wrong cos the last lesson of tha day, I was so piss off by someone. Seriously, is not that I want to look down on you or what but you do not even know how to use System.out.println and you do not even know how to use the API and if else statement and you expect me to believe you do the pract test codes yourself?! Worse still, you still got the cheek to argue with me when you dun even know what is going on with all the codes. If you dun know just say dun know, why go all out to act smart alec? I had explain to you why that part of your codes is redundant for like 3 times and each time you said you understand then in the end you go ask Yana, what I meant and some more tried to defence your codes, said what "user dun know the value of key num 2?". HELLO... WAKE UP... THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED API AND U R THE PROGRAMMER. Even Mr Yip, our mobile application development, heard our argument and when I turned to look at Mr Yip, he was laughing and gave this eye expression and shake his head. Haiz.. if you dun know just say dun know and try to do yourself and learn, then need help then ask, at least you put in the effort to do rather than just copy. Stop acting like you are the Mr Know-All when you are obviously not.

Points to take note when purchasing online:

• If you purchase locally, do meet up to collect your item or opt for register mail as there is a risk of lost mail if you opt for normal mail.



• Try not to buy white apparels if you are not confidence of the quality from that certain website. If you really like the white apparel then ask around if anyone bought anything from the webby and how is their quality. The chances of getting your question answer will be higher if you post your question on forum.



• For local purchases, ask the size and the measurement before you purchase any apparel, ask any question you want. As for spree it is near to impossible to ask the size from the organizer as they themselves maybe first time customer on the particular website so the only way is to check if the website provide a size chart.



• Pictures sometime can be deceiving. Those pictures that are like magazine or with model that are like Japanese, be wary cos the picture are photoshop to make it look really nice.<>

Online Shopping 1

I want to talk about online shopping cos a few people knowing that I shop and sell online for quite sometimes had asked me regarding online shopping. Some are still scared of doing shopping online so I hope to write this post as a guide for all online-shopper-wannabe. The guidelines are purely based on my experience for my loots which mainly are apparels and cosmetic. I will post different parts on different topics of online shopping cos a lot to say... lol

First of all there is a few different kinds of online shopping, I will focus on the 4 main kinds, that is

1. Online Website (E.g. www.gap.com, www.coach.com, www.jshoppers.com etc)
2. Auction (E.g. Yahoo auction and eBay)
3. Blogs (I will recommend a few blogs later)
4. Forum


For the online website, mostly is overseas website. You can buy brands that are not in Singapore. Things that I recommend to buy from overseas webby are apparels, accessories and cosmetics. Avoid purchase expensive stuffs. For brands like coach, ralph lauren etc, you can get it cheaper at the website(for coach is about 20% cheaper which is plus shipment to sing). But the problem is.. some webby do not send internationally and some do not accept credit cards that is issue out of U.S. For this problem, you can easily solve it by using Vpost or Comgateway which they also provide concierge service. For webby which do not send internationally, you can use Vpost or Comgateway service which they will provide you with a U.S address which you will enter during your online purchase when the seller send the item to the U.S address then the courier will send to Singapore to your address. Google yourself to find out more about Vpost and Comgateway. As for concierge service that they provide, they will pay on your behalf on webby which do not accept Singapore issue credit cards. For more information on this, go google youself.

As for auction, auction provide a wide range of stuffs. New, used, apparels, furniture, liquor, computer stuffs etc... For auction, always remember to check the seller ratings, as long as their ratings are above 97% positive you are mostly safe to buy from them. Always ask question before you bid or 'buy it now'. Ask as much as you like since you are a customer unless the seller do not want to sell to you. For local auction, always be wary on lady apparels. Some sellers sells overseas auction item with a high turnover profits, DO YOUR RESEARCH! Always do research before purchases. You can get overseas auction items by purchasing directly from overseas seller. If overseas seller have minimum quantity of let said 30 then gather you friends or the easier way is to join a spree BUT again be wary of some spree organiser who charge you handling fee or quote the shipment fee higher than it is to earn a profit. Some kind soul spree organiser, organise the spree cos he/she want to buy stuff as well and want to save on shipment so he/she will organise and let said initially she asked you to pay $3 for shipment but after that if shipment is only 2 bucks, she will return you 1 bucks. The down part of purchasing overseas auction is the quality of the apparels so be smart and do your RESEARCH! For overseas auction, if you purchase directly from example Taiwan auction, the trouble is on communication as you need to write email in Chinese, some seller although they indicate they don send overseas but you may try to email them and ask cos some will send if you purchase in bulk.

For blogs, this is the recent craze... Singapore seller setting up blogs selling their own pre-loved stuffs, handmade stuff and stuffs from overseas supplier. I normally shop for blogs that sell unique stuffs. The pros are the quantity of each design is limited so the chance of wearing the same as others is pretty slim, quality tends to be better than stuffs from taiwan auction and if anything wrong you can ask for change or refund easily depends on the policy. The cons are the price tends to be higher than stuffs from auction and nice items tends to be sold out pretty fast so when you see something you like you need to tag or email the blog owner fast.

For forum, quite similar to auction. Seller start a topic of what he/she want to sell and set a selling price which is the amount you will pay if you want to buy from him/her, normally they sell stuffs that they do not want or do not need. For forum, they also offer sprees where some people will gathers order from forum members to buy stuffs they want and share the shipment. Recently I bought a coffee table from a fellow Singaporebrides forum member for just 15 bucks. It is a glass coffee table which condition is pretty good and has that contemporary look and I saw someone selling the exact same table on yahoo auction for $100.

Updates of my son milestone. Baby Kiern now is at the stage of yak yak yak yak yak.... He just talk and talk and talk... haha.. but I am certainly glad that he is not at the stage of "WHY".. That's when we as parents will go a bit bonkers cos lil babe will ask why is this like that then why like this lalalala... lol

My son will talk on any chance he has.

As long as he see me writing, he will said "Mummy work?" I said"Yes" He will replied "Oh.. mummy work" Then he take his own lil notepad and pen and look at me sheepishly "Qiyan work..."

In a bus full of people and we are standing.
Kiern: "I want to sit!"(He will speak loudly)
And he will goes on and on till he get a sit.

When he hear the gates open while in his room:
Kiern: "Mummy who come back?"
Me: "I don know."
Kiern: "I go down see"
(open the room door)
Kiern: "Close yes? close?"
Me: "Yes"
(he closed the door, went down and came back up)
Kiern:"Hello, I come back already"

Above is what he will said everyday without fail... and the list of what he said everyday just go on and on and on.... and did I mention he sing ba ba black sheep everyday... **in actual fact, I feel so bliss to have him in my life ;) **

ME!

Yes me!.... Because of my stupidness, it cost me my driving licence. My total demerit points is 14, yes it a pass BUT because of one stupid mistake, I kana 1 immediate failure..... ARGH................................ Why do I turn the streeing wheel so early to cause it to mount the kerb................. Really so angry with myself can.... licence hanging there for me le yet I do this stupid mistake... Carrot hanging there but instead of biting it, I hop away from it..... Damn it... Stupid me..... **Knocking myself**
