Peranakan Musuem 05-10-2008

Some of you might not know actually i am like a quarter Peranakan?. Both my maternal and paternal grandmother are Peranakan, that why when i was young, when my grandmothers are still around, I am influence by Peranakan culture. My maternal grandmother is Teochew Peranankan while my paternal grandmother is Javanese Peranakan. For special occasion, my grandmothers, aunties and my mum will dress in Sarong Kebaya and some of my uncles will dress in Batik shirt. My mum and dad speak Malay fluently.

Visited Peranakan Museum with my family and we saw the shop there selling some of the Perananka accessories for like 400, 700 bucks which my mum and dad also have. We were shocked! We did not know that those items such as belts, shoes worth so much. I have a bead shoe custom made when i was young, have been asking my mum for it, doubt i can wear it now.

• 3 hinge wallets (two of it is for my mum and sis)
• 9 bag organizer
• 2 bag hook

• photoshoot package? haha.. it was thru internet that i got to share a better deal with other mummies.
  
• xmas decor bibs for Keon
• and many more which i cant remember at this moment!

Oh and i nearly bought a Maclaren stroller online too, transfered deposit le but the organizer who organize this bulk purchase for stroller found out that the supplier actually sells counterfeit stroller so in the end it was cancel and lucky i got my deposit back.

I sooo wanna change my blogskins, still finding for one that i like. 

Some updates on baby Keon, he now know how to crawl the right way with his knees and he know how to sit if we put him on that position, he is learning how to sit up on his own and he had started eating semi-solid food. So far he tried rice cereal, apple puree, carrot puree, banana puree and pumpkin puree. All the purees are home-made by his dearest mummy---> ME!!!

Nowadays i feel so lost can.. ever since the maid came i like beside looking after Keon and finger-shopping then i got nothing else to do. I think its time for me to find a job liao, anyone got lobang?

Time flies time flies... Last saturday i went to this wedding dinner on behalf of my mother in law so i went there not knowing whose wedding is it as it consider far distance relative. When i reached there, surprised surprised I saw this guy, Kang Siang who is my secondary schoolmate and for a moment i cant remember his name. I was like "why are you here?!" 

Then he replied "how come you can be here and i cant?"

Me: "Your friend wedding?"

Kang Siang: "Nope i come be waiter"

Me: "Dun bluff la"

Kang Siang: "You mean you really dunno whose wedding?"

Me: "I really dunno. My mother in law asked me to come then i come lor"

Kang Siang: "It's Joanne wedding!"

Then suddenly i remember his class Joanne. Up till then i still dunno i am related to the bride or groom. I congratulate Joanne and asked her if she still remember me, she said she find me familiar and asked I am which side relative then i asked who surename is Chan then she said she is! The whole family linkage is kinda complicated. Her dad was my mother in law nephew which mean her dad is laoye cousin. When i told laoye all these 2 days ago, he laughed and said "so it means that she should call you AUNTIE!" Gosh, it never come to my mind once that by right she should address me auntie till laoye mentioned it. Anyway the world is so small and i mean it! Cos I saw Mr Wong Tew Wee(ah bao fav lecturer) on that wedding dinner too! Yet again for a moment i forgotten that he is Mr Wong (i getting old, i know!), in my mind i only remember him as wee wee. I told my brother in law that i saw wee wee then he asked which lecturer then he goes "oh! Tweety bird is it?!" I was like yes yes so what is his surename then he forget too cos in his mind is tweety bird but after sometimes he managed to recall that he is Mr Wong.

On 11 Aug, laoye came home and went into our room then he came out and asked if i purposely put them to sleep like that. Then i was like what purposely? Then he asked me to go in to take a look and realized they are sleeping in the same position and it happened again on the 22 Aug. Cute right... haha.. brothers...

Happy 6th Anniversary LaoYe!!!
Yes, its been six years since our love blossom..

My boy, Kiern birthday was on the 24th Aug but part of his birthday pics is with my sis so shall post his birthday pics on my next update.

Shall post Keon's pics... Brought him for a jab today yesterday, doc was saying Keon still dunno how to flip (which mean he turn from a lying position into a tummy down position) but should know when he is 4-5 months old then my mum told the doc which is her boss also cos mummy works for them, that Keon's is trying to flip and the next thing we know when we got back to my parents place straight after the jab, he flipped! Thought i see wrongly, asked my sis to put him back to lying down position and he flip again! Haha.. told my mummy, must be the doc said he dunno, he not happy so must show us that he know how to flip.

Keon's milestones:

• He now knows how to smile back at ppl
• he knows how to "talk"
• lift his head high
  
• giggle
• flip
• push himself forward aka early stage of crawling
• he knows how to grip his pacifier in and out of his mouth
• sucks his fists and thumb!

Have not been updating frequently recently cos being a housewife is even busier than working and my hair is in a HUGH MESS!!!!!! Will be visiting the salon next week courtesy of laoye.

The good thing about being a housewife?... everything also can claim from laoye.. my hair cut, my shopping expenses etc, he even agrees to employ a part-time maid to help me do housework so that i can concentrate on our kids but all this will come to an end soon, cos a full time maid is coming soon, after i train the maid for 2 weeks then will be looking for job liao.... Anyone got lobang?...
