Futher Checkup

It's been 3 months and the waiting period of 6 months to try again is like forever. At the mean, I did lots of read up on molar pregnancy and I realised after D&C, hCG level must be monitored. But... after my D&C and follow up, no blood test no nothing to check on my hCG level. It got me worried and I had so many questions too as I read that the waiting time do not need to be 6 months can be shorter so long as hCG level goes down to 0. So I decided to book an appointment at KKH.

I went there and did blood test as well as a detail ultrascan. I will be going back for my test result on Thursday, hopefully and really crossing my finger that my hCG level will be 0.

I asked the Doctor if I could try before the waiting time of six months, the way he replied was quite funny. He was beating around the bush.

Me: "I read up that the waiting time can be shorter than 6 months right?"
Dr: "Where did you read up from?"
Me: "From the internet."
Dr: "ya, which website?"
Me: "Babycenter"
Dr: "ya. Those website are like that, that why I printed some references for you. The recommended waiting time is 12 months."
Me: "12 months?! But if I want to try I still can try before 6 months right."
Dr: "hmm... as a Doctor, I would still tell patient 12 months."
Me: "But I can right?"
Dr: "Well it's at your own risk and I do have patients who give birth successfully."
Me: "So I can try and it could be a successful pregnancy?"
Dr (he stare into my eyes): "Well... your's is partial molar, you have 98% of success rate for your next so you only got 2% of unsuccessful. Theorically I would tell you to wait 12 months. So I will ask you to wait theorically, do you understand that by theorically but if you want to try, it's at your own risk. Let's see what is your test result first before you take the next step."
Me: "ok"

By the time he stare into my eyes, it's like I got his message. He can't say things that could risk his professionalism as a doctor, there is guidelines that he needs to follow but well, I catch the ball... =)
